the ingredients are:
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1/4 lb. chicken liver
- 3 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 1/2 cups rice flour (wheat flour is OK, if your dog is not prone to wheat allergies)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Preheat oven to 375°
Place the first 3 ingredients (water through oil) into a food processor. pulse to a smooth paste. In a bowl add the flour and baking powder. Mix everything until it appears well mixed into a cookie batter consistency. Spoon out appropriate sized balls for your dog, or use your favorite cookie cutter. Place the cookie dough on a cookie sheet (lined with parchment paper) and flatten slightly into an easy to chew shape. Bake for 40 minutes until well browned and crunchy.
Don't be put off by the consistency of this batter, it can be very sticky. Trudge through, the treats will look as they do in the picture above and the dogs LOVE them. They could end up a little less crunchy, depending on the size of the treat you form and the temp of your oven.
