2 cups of cooked pasta (note, 2 cups of uncooked pasta turn into 4 cups of cooked pasta) Use semolina pasta if your dog has any wheat allergies.
1.25 cups of cooked spinach
2.5 cups of cooked chicken breast (or any of your favorite protein can be substituted)
Boil the pasta, drain and put in a set aside bowl. Cook spinach according to the package, use no seasoning. I cook my spinach in the pasta water. Drain spinach and if it's fairly leafy, run through the food processor. Add to pasta in bowl. At this time I add the calcium supplement and mix thoroughly (1 tsp per batch of food, but this depends on the weight of your dog).
Add 1 tbsp of coconut oil to the pot and then add the chicken. Cook to proper temperature. Put chicken and juices into the food processor and blend on chop. Add to bowl and mix together thoroughly.
I have added fruits (blueberries, cranberries, kiwi) and other extra items (cooked chicken livers, gizzards, sardines) and mixed into the recipes before, but this one is purely the three ingredients listed above.
A batch with the above ingredients should yield 8 cups of food. I normally can feed my two dogs a cup a day for 4 days.
